Birth + Postpartum Doula

Happy you’ve found me! I'm Michelle—a doula, registered nurse, mama, and veteran of more PCS moves than I can count now, which definitely keeps life spicy. Shout out to my husband!

My journey to becoming a doula began after the birth of my daughter, when I learned firsthand that welcoming a baby takes more than love—it takes a village. Just one week after she was born, my husband left for training, and while I had loved ones around me for a little bit, I quickly realized that postpartum support looks different for everyone. As I navigated postpartum depression, recovery, and the demands of new motherhood, I found myself wishing for someone whose focus was not just on my baby, but on me, too.

My husband and I often joked that what I really needed during that time was my own brigade of support. That joke eventually became the inspiration behind The Birthing Brigade. Today, my goal is to be a steady, reassuring presence for families as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum—helping them feel informed, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.

Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, or still figuring it all out, I am honored to provide evidence-based information, compassionate care, and a whole lot of encouragement. Welcome to your one-woman brigade.
